Body Composition Assessment for Students
between 16 and 27. March
Department of Public Health Medicine, UPSM
Are you aware of your weight but curious about your body composition as well? This March, students will once again have the opportunity to get a clear picture of their body composition in just a few minutes.
What does it mean?
Body composition refers to the distribution of individual body tissues (fat, bone, and muscle) within the total body mass, and the percentage of fat tissue in relation to the total body mass.
Why is knowing your body composition important?
Even without gaining or losing weight, our body composition can sometimes shift in an unfavorable direction. Measurements of body composition can provide valuable insights intopotential cardiovascular risk, as well as into the effectiveness of our diet and exercise habits.
More information on body composition assessment.
Participation is free of charge for students of the UPMS, but registration is required.*
Next steps
After the measurement, our dietician colleagues will contact you by e-mail. They will provide you with the results of your InBody measurement, an evaluation of your data, and a link to an online dietetic consultation if needed.
*Unfortunately, it often happens that registered participants do not show up at the workshops. This is inconvenient because in this way we cannot offer the vacated space to those for whom it would be important to attend. Therefore, please note that if you do not notify us that you are unable to attend - at least 24 hours before the workshop date -, you will not be able to use the services of YourLife @ ÁOK this semester. Thank you for your understanding.
