Body Composition Assessment for Students
4th March to 14th March
UPMS
Are you aware of your weight but curious about your body composition as well?
This March, students of the Medical School will once again have the chance to get a clear picture of their body composition in just a few minutes.
What does it mean?
Body composition refers to the distribution of individual body tissues (fat, bone, and muscle) within the total body mass, or the percentage of fat tissue in relation to the total body mass.
Why is knowing your body composition important?
At times, even without gaining or losing weight, our body composition may shift in an unfavorable direction. For instance, data obtained from measuring body composition can provide valuable insights into the risk of cardiovascular disease or the effectiveness of our diet and exercise regimen.

How to find out more?
After the measurement, our dietician colleagues will contact you by e-mail. They will provide you with the results of your InBody measurement, your assessed data, and a link to an online dietetic consultation if needed.
Participation is free of charge for students of the UPMS, but registration is required!*
*Regrettably, it is not uncommon for registered participants to miss scheduled measurement dates without providing justification. This is disruptive as it prevents us from offering the available slots to others interested in participating. Therefore, please be aware that failure to cancel your appointment via the registration page at least 24 hours before the measurement date will result in the unavailability of another body composition assessment appointment for you this semester.
