Body Composition Assessment

Obtain instant results through a professional, non-invasive measurement! In addition to your body mass index, participants will receive information about their body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, and other crucial parameters. To comprehensively evaluate and interpret the results and facilitate positive changes, we recommend booking an online consultation with one of our dieticians!

What happens at a body composition assessment?

The measurement only takes a few minutes. Conducted barefoot and in clothing, it is a painless and non-invasive professional test that can be repeated as often as desired. The measurement results are immediately printed and thoroughly evaluated by a dietician, and if necessary, you can schedule a separate online consultation. Throughout the assessment, we determine your current body weight, body mass index, skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage, fat mass (in relation to the four limbs), total body fluid, basal metabolic rate, bone mineral content, visceral fat, waist-to-hip ratio, and fitness index.

What are the benefits of a body composition assessment?

  • Early detection of excess weight (even with a fat excess of only 1-2 kgs) is possible, thus allowing for timely lifestyle changes
  • We can determine whether weight loss results from fat loss or muscle loss
  • We can track changes in muscle mass resulting from regular physical activity
  • we can see the distribution of muscle and fat in segments, so it also helps us develop optimal body proportions
  • we can determine the waist to hip ratio, which, if high, puts you at a greater risk of developing complications of obesity, such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes
  • we can observe changes in bone mass, which may indicate an increased risk of osteoporosis

How to prepare for a body composition assessment:

  • Avoid eating 2 hours before the measurement
  • Avoid strenuous physical activity beforehand
  • Avoid having the measurement done when you have your periods
  • It is advisable to use the bathroom before the measurement.
  • You will need to remove the following items: socks, stockings, silicone bra, metal braces, watch, glasses, smart watch
  • Make sure you assume the correct position on the machine
  • Repeated measurements should be taken at the same time of day

To maintain good health, it is essential to regularly assess our body composition, to determine our optimal body composition and monitor the effectiveness of our current diet and exercise regimen.

I understand that the body composition measurement cannot be performed for pregnant women, or for people with a pacemaker, prosthesis, or larger metal implants.
