Attila Papp - Introduction

I was born on 29.02.1980 in Pécs.

I was first introduced to martial arts, more precisely Muay Thai-Boxing in 1992, at the age of 12. I trained under Ferenc Blazsekovics until I was 14 years old. In 1995 I switched to boxing, which I really liked, and I also participated in a few competitions.

In 2000 I won 3rd place at the Hungarian National Adult Championships in Kecskemét.

In 2005 I tried different styles of Kung fu, but what really captured my interest were Chi Kung and Tai Chi.

In 2006, I met a famous Chi Kung master in London, his name was Master Lam Kam Chuen. I was lucky enough to learn the famous “wooden post” Chi Kung (Zhan Zhuang in Chinese) personally from him and to train with him for 2 and a half years. The English meaning of Zhan Zuang is: “Standing like a tree.”

In 2008 I returned to Hungary, and I continued my Chi Kung and Tai Chi training in Pécs.

In 2016 I met (Maestro) Master Ricardo Cussatti, who expanded my skills in the art of post standing. We still contact each other weekly, and I am constantly practicing and finding ways to improve.
