Mental Health

Is coaching for you?

What we are offering is free consultation for all students and staff of the University of Pécs.

Coaching is right for you…

  • if you would like to improve and develop in any area of your life,
  • if you feel you need to gain more self-confidence,
  • if you’re aware that you’re no longer as motivated at work or in connection with your studies as you used to be,
  • if you’re uncertain whether the profession/job you chose is right for you,
  • if you would like to improve your communication skills,
  • if you would like to perform better in certain stress situations (e.g at an exam or job interview),
  • if you have difficulties or conflicts in your relationship with your partner, family, friends or colleagues.

What does a coaching session look like?

  • Coaching typically consists of a series of one-on-one sessions between you and your coach and usually lasts 45 to 60 minutes each.
  • The number of sessions you need depends on the issue you are working on and the goal you want to achieve.
  • During consultations, clients are asked questions that help them find solutions to their problems themselves.
  • Coaching focuses on here and now rather than on the distant past or future with regard to the issue you want to focus on.
  • The coach may also use a variety of creative methods (picture cards, drawings etc.) – depending on the personality of the client.
  • Coaching helps identify the client’s strengths and find the best solutions and strategies to achieve the client’s goals based on these strengths

Where do coaching sessions take place?

  • Due to the current pandemic, coaching sessions are held online, but it may change according to the actual situation. ( We have had very good feedback on online coaching)
